Laboratory for Synthetic Bio-Inspired Chemistry

We design, synthesize and characterize new molecules and materials which behave like metalloenzymes. Because transition metal ions are important to so many processes, the applications of this research are wide-ranging, from selective catalysis of oxidation reactions, water remediation, gas separations to theranostic reagents.
