Enterobactin - a siderophore.

The first figure shows shows one Fe-enterobactin complex. Note how the ligand is optimised for binding Fe(III).

The second figure shows 4 molecules of Fe(II) enterobactin complex from E. coli bound within a receptor protein (the ferrienterobactin-binding periplasmic protein).
